AMALTHEA IMPORTER

During our regular conversations with automotive software developers, we’re often asked if we support AMALTHEA within our chronSUITE tools. The short answer is “yes,” but inevitably, this leads to a more extended discussion, as AMALTHEA was developed for much more than timing analysis.

The AMALTHEA project was initiated by Bosch and its partners with the goal of enabling seamless model transfer between teams and the development tools they use. We should also note that, at this time, the automotive industry was exploring how to improve the transition from single-core to many- and multi-core processing platforms.

AMALTHEA becomes APP4MC

AMALTHEA evolved into Eclipse APP4MC, an open-source project that is now hosted here:

INCHRON has provided support for AMALTHEA/APP4MC since version 1.2.0, which was released in mid-2021. Today, chronSIM Version 3 models can be imported using the open-source tool our team developed for the purpose, am2inc, found here:

Is everything in AMALTHEA/APP4MC supported?

The APP4MC tool supports a wide range of capabilities, including a lot of information that plays no role in timing analysis. As such, INCHRON’s tools use what they need to support your development team’s projects.
